According to CNN station WVTM, a shooting inside a Birmingham nightclub left two people dead and three more hurt.
A hospital spokeswoman informed CNN that shortly after, shots were fired at a car pulling up to the emergency room of a nearby hospital, possibly in an attempt to hit those who may have been hurt in the nightclub shooting.

According to WVTM, the initial shooting took place at a bar on 5th Avenue North early on Labor Day.
A spokeswoman for the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital stated that “at 2:17 am Monday, shots were fired at a vehicle arriving at the emergency department with individuals believed to have been injured in an earlier off-site shooting.”
The hospital reported that “the shooter immediately fled the scene.”
